Sears Point (it has some high-falutin' name but to me it's always Sears Point having lived there and attended SCCA races there before it went totally commercial) was never designed to be a NASCAR track. It's a sports car track (up and down hills, corners bend both ways) that NASCAR uses for one race a year. It's a big race and a big deal, but it's one weekend a year. With only a few other Big Races, Sears Point can be ignored most of the time, and avoided on those weekends. That said, the train *is* the best way to get there.
