Do you think we'll ever come out of the "great depression"? I don't know what is worse the naysaying curmudgeons or the nimby fools. The one thing they have in common is they never seem to have a solution for anything. We can make the future, or be victims of it, it is actually a choice?

This Navato versus what would likely be no more than a couple of small freight trains a day is nonsense of the first order. Some of the real extremists there actually work for oil company funded fronts, and they don't want any passenger service, either. The strange political bedfellows on this one are truly bizarre. The other 90% or so of folks there, who are paying $5 a gallon for gas, could, with a modicum of common sense, and a little vision, probably figure out a compromise in about two hours. But, there's no soap boxes for noisy politicians or money for lawyers, in that idea.
