Talked to a guy with the Historical society in Spokane, the Franks Diner downtown is an ex-NP car and the actual builder's photos for that car are on the walls of the diner. The ex-GN car up north is decorated GN and US 2, they Hiway that it's located on follows the GN. Rumor has it that they are looking for another car to open another Diner in Coeur d' Alene---but don't know if the rumor is true or not. As an aside, there used to be a truck stop on the freeway near Baker City, OR that used to have a G-scale train that ran continiously 24 hours a day, covered the walls of the restaurant and had a spiral in a display case near the front door, anyone know if the place still has the trains.? Train ran so much that the rail was actually curve worn.
