I found this terrific video of the Trona Railroad filmed on 7-12-16.

7/12/2016. On a hot July day, the Trona Railroad is seen taking loaded covered hoppers to Union Pacific. Starting from Trona, California, the railroad makes its way toward the UP interchange at Searles, CA with a slight grade throughout the entire 30 mile journey to Searles. At Searles, the crew performs some switching before heading back to Trona with empty hoppers. The highlight of this railroad is its motive power, which currently consists of former Union Pacific and Southern Pacific locomotives. This train was powered by three former Union Pacific EMD SD40-2s, a former Southern Pacific EMD SD40R, and two former SP EMD SD40T-2s (also known as Tunnel Motors.)
