The Medford Railroad Park is now in its 35th year of offering free train rides to the public. There are five railroad clubs that together operating the park. They are the:

Southern Oregon Live Steamers
Southern Oregon Railway Historical Society
Rogue Valley Model Railroad Club (HO gauge)
Medford Garden Railroaders (G gauge)
More Telegraph Club (Railroad Morse Code)

Our park is located on the site of the former Medford sewage treatment plant, so anything occupying the land had to be "day use only", which is what we do. We are the No. 2 park in the city and last years we gave free rides to over 35,000 people during fourteen 4-hour run days. We also do private train parties. We had 139 parties last year, so the park is busy. It would be politcal suicide to try to kick us out, and beside they can't use the land for housing and businesses.

Take a look at our Live Steamers Faebook site to get an idea. Just click onto Southern Oregon Live Steamers.

We are also restoring a 70-ton steam locomotive on site, plus we have two SP cabooses, a CB&Q caboose, museum, etc.
