The Cascade Club was privately owned when it was at Hunters Point. It was just being stored with the GGRM collection. The PLA bought it from the owner and moved it to the canyon in the big GGRM move. The PLA has already put money into the car. The long term plans are to operate it with the articulated coach as a streamlined train.
The PLA has recieved four cars from the GGRM:
*Harriman style baggage SP6235 - donated to the PLA by the GGRM in partially dismantled condition. It was reassembled in time to be moved in the big move.
*Heavyweight Pullman "Gothic Peak" - part of the deal for the GGRM to come to the canyon.
*Heavyweight Baggage-RPO SP5045 - part of the deal for the GGRM to come to the canyon.
*Daylight articulated chair car (topic of this thread) - purchased by the PLA from the GGRM.
