Metrolink Public Affairs made the inquiry as to 3751's availability to make the dedication only 8 days ago. The locomotive had already been "winterized", so this was certainly not in the "plans" of the SBRHS. However, the SBRHS has a great relationship with Metrolink and when they asked if 3751 could participate in the station dedication the SBRHS didn't want to say no. I applaud them for being able to make this happen and Metrolink for thinking of 3751 and wanting the locomotive to participate in their events. They certainly don't have to.
