SMART is useless for southern Marin, an important catchment area for riders. SMART ignores this as SMART is primarily Sta. Rosa and the PD and its politically connected owner, not the IJ. I would see Mill Valley and surrounds as where the move to kill the SMART sales tax will start.

She's definitely not a railfan, missing such realworld problems as 2 man operation at union scale and no possibility of grade separations with freight and doodlebuggies. Grade separations at the worst locations would at least reduce the number or crossing wrecks. They are paying 2 guys to tend the bridge at Petaluma when a high level bridge was indicated.

Ditch the freight and the DMU's. This should be an electric light rail op, like LACMTA and a host of others.
