Hi Everybody--
There was some big news items a month or so back where the City and King County wanted to nix the Waterfront Streetcar altogether, since they couldn't put a financing package together to build the new, required multi-purpose building and Carbarn near Main and Occidental Streets.

Regarding traffic, King County Exec "Ron Sims", personally told 'ME' the last time he ran for re-election, that he had asked the City of Seattle to disallow ALL parking on 1st Avenue in case it was needed as an arterial for the Viaduct replacement.

This is crazy, because 1st Ave makes a very sharp turn thru Pioneer Square. I have my own ideas for re-routing traffic thru Seattle from AURORA AVENUE (U.S.99) ...
