It's a good question. But, of course, if you followed these things, you'd know that even China significantly reduced coal use last year..... That is, of course, something that actually occurred in the fact based universe......

So yeah, when one can buy a much more plentiful, efficient, cleaner, and easier to use hydrocarbon, at one third the cost, why would anyone do anything but convert to gas fired power plants...?
