The projections should be broken down into South end and North end. The south may see trains one day, the North will never see trains again. To reopen the NWP to Eureka would not be a "modest investment", it would be a huge investment which would unending as portions keep sliding away. In addition on the North end there is not enough freight to justify the expense. I don't think that most people whom have not lived in Humboldt County understand the political climate and the anti-everything climate. There will never be a container facility built in Eureka and nor will there be any significant manufacturing opened there. The truck traffic on 101 will lessen as the remaining mills and businesses in Humboldt fold.
