BOB2, you are not listening. It is about "1000 containers a day" from Humboldt Bay, 6 million tons of gravel coming from Island Mountain, more from the Eel River floodplains, and the associated impacts including air pollution, noise, traffic and more (quality of life) in communities directly effected. You can call that NIMBYisum if you want, but as the NCRA/NWP continues to hide, fight and obfuscate these issues there will be no "silent majority" begging for a railroad through Novato/Marin.
As long as NCRA/NWP keep promoting these projects you will need to convince the Novato/Marin public that it is in their best interest to be a be a conduit for a major new container port and massive gravel extraction. Good luck with that.
