The unions would mount an enormous propaganda campaign against such a referendum. The California has demonstrated many times how susceptible it is to media brainwashing. It should know better but often doesn't. Let's see if #53 passes, to keep some leverage on Jerry's pathetic Legacy.

Instead of blowing billions on base tunnels to Palmdale that money should be spent in LA proper.
