CityMetric is a gem: oldest subway cars?

Don't remember how I happened across this site, but it's a gem. Great stories, from a British perspective but not aggressively so, focused mostly but not entirely on urban and transportation issues. To wit: Berlin resurrecting cars to be the oldest in regular service in Europe: [www.citymetric.com]

Hmm ... that doesn't count museum operations, of course, or subway cars not used on subways but still in service (some London cars moved to the Isle of Wight after retirement, apparently). But what category would operations like Muni's F line, with all its historic cars carrying normal passengers for normal fares, be in? And could BART gain a claim to fame if they rebuild their oldest cars yet again and keep them running past 50 years?
