Sound Transit has had a new trainset parked along I-5 in Tukwila/Southcenter area. No power, just moved on the tracks by a MOW Semi. For people who not familiar with the area, this is about 12 miles South of DT Seattle.
We had a thread on here cpl weeks ago that I started and concerned about vandalism and tagging.
Sound Transit told me "we have security 24/7 on site".
Well, evidently Security was not around.
links to Seattle Times and King 5 are attached. King 5 interviewed me after I called them about this. As a taxpayer I am ****** off about Sound Transit parking a train worth thousands of dollars and not having security on. Personally, I think the idea of "parking" this train on the tracks to advertise to the public that trains are coming is ridiculous, plus the cost of 24/7 security (yeah, right)... was it worth it? I'd like to know where security was on the 4th of July. The gate along S. 140th was open too. I think someone at ST needs to answer for this
Enough of my rant. See the new "artwork" here.
