Thought some of the posts about water issues in Spokane area were a bit wild until I got my Spokesman Review Sunday. People posting here seem to be in the know about a whole lot of things. Water restrictions in Spokane, not because we are running out, but just because we use more than the state average? Crazy government hasn't heard of a dry climate and sandy soil making keeping grass green (are carbon absorbed) a challenge not faced in Seattle. They want us to reduce carbon footprints, but don't water any plants that might help the cause, brown plants don't absorb CO2. BNSF better relocate to Hauser before watering locomotives becomes a fine able offense on odd days, and providing drinking water on even days gets you thrown in jail. Sewage plant next to Yardley ought to help offset the odor of the feed mill and rendering plant---no matter which way the wind blows it's gonna stink.
