BNSF Hits Truck West of Spokane - 2 Killed

A WB BNSF freight hit a pickup at Brooks Road west of Spokane Saturday morning killing 2 inside the truck. This crossing is on the Columbia River Sub. (ex-GN) south of U.S.2 on the west side of Fairchild AFB. This crossing has flashing lights and gates and the weather this morning was clear. Crew was not injured.

From the description in the Seattle Times it sounds like this is the fairly new Z train from Texas to Seattle.
