How to improve Iowa Pacific

So I've been thinking...

Now that Iowa Pacific has acquired IPH:

Maybe they would want to run the Hoosier State over the South Shore into Chicago to avoid congestion on the UP?

MAYBE some PV excursions on the Long Island Railroad (New York & Atlantic) or perhaps from LA into Long Beach the occasional excursion on the Pacific Harbor Line?

Why did IPH decide to sell profitable money-making lines like AZER hauling copper or Permian Basin in Texas? I don't get it... Why do they decide to keep lines that have very little freight when passenger ops make little monew... Does their management need more time to develop freight?

I hope they get a chance. It looks like Ellis has a plan for these sales but I don't see it...
