Re: Timber Heritage Assoc. --- Eureka shops
"Samoa Shops" refers to the old Hammond Lumber Company/Georgia Pacific roundhouse and other shop facilities in Samoa, California, right behind the famed Samoa Cookhouse, which is technically across Humboldt Bay from Eureka. The following should take you to an aerial view:

The shops presently lack a direct connection to the NCRA tracks, which you should be able to see in the above view, running along Vance and then North Bay View avenues. THA does have an agreement with NCRA allowing them to use a short stretch of the old Samoa branch extending from the shops area for their speeder rides, operated with a former A&MR speeder. THA has most of their collection inside the old roundhouse, and you can see the line of passenger and other cars next to the shops. THA's goal is to one day be able to operate passenger excursions around the bay, which would require reinstalling the long-gone switch into the NCRA tracks.
