Schmidbauer Lumber in Eureka and Mendocino Lumber in Scotia (PL) are the only two sources of $$$$ at the north end. Next stop for any potential revenue is 130 miles south in Willits. Schmidbauer recently acquired former Simpson holdings but I wouldn't expect too much from that. Chips and some logs leave Humboldt Bay, overpriced gasoline is barged in. That's about it........
But when the east/west railroad is built things will really start humming?
