The other day I posted regarding the 7.8 earthquake that hit the Northeast coastal area of the South Island of New Zealand in November. Tremendous amount of damage to the road system and also the main line between Christchurch and the ferry crossing to the North Island. I have recently seen a short film in HD taken from a drone in that area and with the permission of the filming crew (White Bus Productions) have been allowed to post the site here.
I think it is well worth watching not only for the clarity of it, but to see what Mother Nature can do to mountains, roads and rail lines. I believe Hutch (a poster) here asked about stranded equipment? This film shows at least one train that is stuck for a while along with RV's and campers unable to get out. The white rocks along the shoreline are actually caused because the shoreline rose, in some places over three feet, from where it was pre quake.
Hope you enjoy a very well done piece of film.
