I don't know if this is true or not, but I had heard that CCT 1790 was acquired by the Rock Island Historical/Technical Society (not sure of the exact name). Would seem like a good fit as it is an ex-C&RIP loco. Again only heard this through the railfan rumor mill, but if so, should be a good place for it to be headed.
