I also had the "dubious honors" of being in TO when Toad was entertaining a chat room even! There were a few of us RAILS that would take advantage of explaining situations taking place in the industry...even overnight in the chatroom...the beauty of some of us having to work graveyard, plus a handful of the west coasters/night owls, it made a long boring night go quicker. I remember some great discussions with JLW and Snow King on long shore traffic among other things. I will sorrowfully admit though, the place hasn't changed...there were complete idiots then, despite the fact of sitting at the dispatcher desk and having FIRST HAND account of the situation. Now, you've got a fair amount of ignorant/arrogant idiots that are compelled to be FIRST with the information....EVEN IF IT'S WRONG INFORMATION...and I think that's where the rub has gone wrong IMHO.
