John --
Wow..... I am rendered (almost) speechless!! Which is
quite a feat, as anyone who knows me knows!
THANK you VERY VERY much for the very high praise!!!
Wow.....
Re: Jim, The Tree (etc.!) Climber ---
His photos ARE that good!! I used to get the official
UP calendars, but haven't for some time, so I did not
know you had used any of his photographs for your
great calendars. Wow..... That, too, is VERY high praise,
which he certainly deserves. I just wish he wold stop
dong things around railroads that put him in great danger.
David Curlee --
Keep up the good work!! I am glad you don't have the
time or interest in strictly moderating this site. As
I have said before, normal, healthy conversations
wander all over the map, and it is a real relief to be
allowed to bring up what some might think are off-topic
subjects in a thread. I have learned a lot from some of
the posts here, and I have enjoyed that a lot.
AP is the exact opposite of a really up-tight site, and
that is truly refreshing. The ranters and trolls really
do not bother me at all because, as I said in my first
comment, I never have to read anything they post --
I just don't ever click on any of their posts. I do not
need an "Ignore" button here.
Again -- thank you very much, David, for keeping this
great site up and running reliably.
Long live AltamontPress.com!
