Charging in to the future - Siemens Style

Like it or not the future of commuter locomotive power is upon us and it's coming from overseas. The IDOT Siemens SC44, assembled in Sacramento, CA, operated on a Cascades Talgo test train. From Seattle to Eugene and back, with AMTK 467 on the north end.

Here's a photo of the train rolling through Tacoma, in what else, rain!
