Forgot to mention "Turbo Failure" There is supposed to be a "Parts Catcher" to do just that when a turbo goes south. The parts are usually white hot but the catchers don't really work that well.

I have seen huge parts come out and start some pretty big fires track side. The turbo clutch will start to slip. (That's the puff of black smoke on an EMD) After doing this for a couple of days and being reported its not repaired. Then when they fail, its real 4th of July show.
