Something once again about never working in this town again. The media were intimidated into sucking up, even the ones who weren't oblivious to transport issues anyway.

Look - it has taken 40 years of the Bechtelians dying off to see BART sort of doing a mea culpa.

Nowadays you have a Ralph Vartabedian taking on PBCAHSR, but even he and the LA Times don't dare to take on the Tejon Ranch Co.'s infallibility in all matters pertaining to HSR southern mountain crossing.

My motivation here is to highlight the nefarious ability of powerful entities like the SP and the Tejon Ranch to corrupt public planning involving billions of dollars to favor their special interests.
