The program made a few good points but basically ignored all the technical and political problems -- not to mention costs that have to be borne by the railroads -- in implementing PTC.

(I've written about PTC and talked to many railroad officials about it -- including some who were involved in testing PTC.)

The program made it sound as if the railroads were the bad guys for not implementing PTC fast enough. (I didn't see anyone from the railroad industry being given a chance to provide their side.)


Also, the program made it sound as if maglev were the solution to all our problems -- ignoring potential problems related to maglev.
