So... if this policy has been proven false...then why is there no mainline excursions on UP mainlines with any steam locomotives not owned by UP? Why doesnt the Santa Fe 3751 make a trip up the California Coast Line and back "owned by UP" if this is false? Why doesnt the 4449 make a trip south out of Portland to Klamath Falls, OR and return over the UP (former SP main) as their overnight trip instead of going to Bend again since they have made this trip a number of times now??
