There are no plans to remove the track

I contacted the RTC and they confirmed that there are no plans to remove the track and the first segments of the trail with rail will begin later this year. The latest statement from one of the RTC commissioners backs this up.

On February 21st, Supervisor Ryan Coonerty was on KSCO and replied to a question about the 2-page Trail Only ad in the morning Sentinel.

He responded:

"When we purchased this right of way, I sort of said this is really a right of way for my kids and my grandkids. This is a multi-generational gift that we're giving and the thing that I see is that if you take out the tracks you're really removing an option for them when technology is different, when densities are different, when how people move is different."
