Yes, Eucalyptus are invasive and need to be removed

Cities and railroads alike routinely remove these trees. Even environmental groups understand that they interfere with local native ecosystems and post risks and don't oppose abatement. Neighborhood residents without all the facts might become cranky, but the trees have to go or else bad and expensive things happen.
