As I understand it, George sold it to Bill and carried the contract.
Bill walked away from it and George got it back. He has been trying to sell it with no takers.
George doesn't want it anymore, thus the original sale and now unfortunate impending closure.
As far as other stores, there is also Online Trains in Lakewood.
