Yep. CSX has become a subsidiary of Mantle Ridge - the corporate raider controls the company along with having Hunter as president, despite holding a small percentage of the stock. One can expect rapid removal of a large portion of the workforce, much like what was done at CP. And for investors, I'm not so sure that it's a great move; with one private company concerned only with extracting cash for itself controlling the corporation, investors are now just along for the ride wherever it goes, and in the medium term that's almost certainly down. Longer term, one can expect a merger with CP once the corporate skeleton is stripped of fat and whatever can be liquidated.
