Their contract with the RTC allows them to store cars on the Davenport Branch, but the washout must be repaired and the landslide from the berry farmer’s field must be stabilized first. It is pointless for the railroad to do any work until the farmer and RTC work out the responsibility for the damage done to the rail corridors created by the runoff from the farmer’s field. It is my understanding that thousands of cubic yards of the farmers field have flowed on to the RTC’s property and in to the slough.
