Should be good over the next month or so in the Central Valley too - assuming the floods don't reappear. With the sheet-flooding of a couple of weeks ago down, the vernal pools and grassland in various reserve areas should be fabulous. Several rail lines run through or near them. Too bad WRM doesn't run trains to Maine Prairie any more...tracks are gone.
