UP 844 Schedule to Boise Idaho

Today Union Pacific officially announced the schedule for the No. 844 steam locomotive to Boise Idaho! Months of planning and its is now official. It all started with a simple question I asked back in September to have the engine come to Boise.

Here is a short run down of the schedule.

Leaving Cheyenne, Wyoming on April 18th at 8am it will then proceed to Pocatello arriving April 19th at 4:30pm. By Saturday April 22nd at 10am it will depart Gooding Idaho for Nampa and then be turned on the wye in Nampa and drove into Boise, arrive at 4:15pm at the Boise Depot. The locomotive will be on display all day Sunday April 23rd for the Boise Depot 92 Anniversary Open House. The engine will depart Monday morning toward Nampa and then it will head for Pocatello and eventually Ogden and back to Cheyenne.
