MRL had traffic moving past the Kootenai coal empty derailment as of yesterday. Don't know what's happening there this morning.

UP now has a new washout just north of Sandpoint, probably the same location where a washout caused a major pileup several years ago.

UP has managed to keep local customers serviced (lumber mills, a fertilizer plant, etc.) in northern Idaho, including interchange traffic off of POVA at Sandpoint. Yes, shades of the short-lived M-SNHK symbol that ran here in the late 90s or early 2000s.
