As per our earlier conversation....2nd hand information has it that BNSF CEO is in FWD and not a happy camper... they WANT to jump on new contracts, but Hauser and Pasco being the ugly elephant in the room that nobody wants to acknowledge....(Do they miss the SP&S now???) And further more, do they want to make Pasco a worse black hole than Hauser is now??? They can spend millions of dollars upgrading Pasco to Ellensburg and further west...but it still doesn't eliminate a worse funnel of Pasco than Sandpoint to Spokane is now....and BNSF NEVER should have dropped their idea of a second bridge at Sandpoint...only UP can save their butts with directional traffic between West Boyer and Pasco as we speak...and I'm to believe THAT dog and pony trick has already begun with BNSF trains on UP between Sandpoint and Pasco. SO.....spend MILLIONS of dollars upgrading between Pasco and Ellensburg....and STILL create Pasco as the Black Hole from Hell...or do we spend billions of dollars putting the SP&S back into service...which STILL puts Pasco in places darker than Hauser is now....or does the state of Washington and BNSF finally pull their heads out of dark places and reconstruct the MILW from Ellensburg to Lind...or something like that?...TOTALLY avoiding the ugliness potential at Pasco????? I hope in the meantime somebody is grabbing Dixie Lee Ray (former Governor of WA when Milwaukee Road pulled the plug) by the scruff of the neck and pointing this out as HER downfall from the start...you can play with the big dogs...or stay on the porch...and she definitely is responsible for dropping the ball on that situation...in the meantime, UP and BNSF need to have a "come to Jesus" moment and realize it's high time to quit treating the PNW as the ugly red headed step child, and spend the money necessary if they really want to capitalize on the money potential between stacks, coal, grain, potash; did I forget anything?...that's shipped from and to the PNW. Enuff said....end of argument.
