From what I recall, Court Hammond wasn't the one who ordered the car, but the Age of Steam Roundhouse. The main thing Hammond had to handle was the movement of the engine from Yreka to Montague. The initial plan when the car was ordered was it would just the engine and the tender would be trucked separately. Some where that plan changed, but the same car was kept. The 19 is rated as a 90 ton logging mikado, but I'm not sure if that 90 tons includes the tender, I don't think it does though. It seems something some where ways more than what it's supposed to weigh.
