I thought a lot of the posts recently about water issues in the Spokane area were pretty wild and hard to believe until I visited my favorite mens room stall at work this a.m. and found a Seattle P-I newspaper from this last weekend that had a story about how the state of Washington is claiming ownership of RAINWATER and is set to begin regulation of people who collect rainwater from their downspouts and use it on their lawns and gardens and to flush toilets. They are also set to go after a sustainable farm that they believe could be collecting as much as 20,000 gallons of the "peoples rainwater" per year. Now Seattle is set to charge a 20 cent tax on plastic and paper bags at supermarkets to boot. I hope that if Interbay closes they choose to relocate out of Washington to Hauser, Idaho instead. I've had my fill of Washington.
