I usually don't respond to children, but since I think you're a special kid, I'll indulge. One man crews are coming. No matter what we do. At least with a little extra protection in the cab, it will make those that are still working when it happens a little safer.

And you're right about one thing. On most through freights, conductors aren't needed.
