That would make sense!

A quick survey shows the similar twin exhaust pipes on the 18, 15 and 14 (middle years of their careers only), 9 and 8 (even though they had air pumps only on one side for much of that time), 20, 21, 22-23-24-25-26-27 (interesting, the pipes on these ran outside the boiler shell and came up behind the stack, all look to have been applied a few years after arriving and removed by the 40s).
