I have really enjoyed all the contervesity about BNSF & UP.But the question I have is about UP 844 is this.A friend of mine was at a Model Train Showin Vancouver Wa last fall and he was told that when UP had 844 on thier trip out west on the way homeeas of Hinkle they found the frame on 844 was broke and they were told to bring it back to Ogden tht way instead of sending a helper out a towing it back. And according to him all they can do with now is either scrap it or send it to a museum. Can somebdoy tellme if this true or somebody was full of hot air.
