The Lone Pine Branch was officially abondoned north of Searles on August 22, 1982. All rail service to Linnie ended at that time.

Linnie was the railroad name for the location, Personville is the highway/official name. The actual facility was several miles north of the present-day Personville, which isn't much more than a scrap yard and gas station. It was where 395 and 9 Mile Canyon Rd meet.

The Louisiana Pacific Mill continued to operate, with trucks moving the lumber, until 1987. The site is completely empty today with little evidence of anything ever happening there.
