The siderod diesel is a model of the ÖBB class 2095 diesel hydraulic narrow gauge locomotive.
That class was built in the late 50s/early 60s for the various Austrian 760 mm narrow gauge rail lines, primarily the Bregenzerwaldbahn (Bregenz - Bezau; now only museum operation around Bezau), the Pinzgauer Lokalbahn (Zell am See - Krimml) and the Mariazeller Bahn (St.Pölten - Mariazell). The latter has an electrified main line (since 1911, and some original locomotives (albeit severely rebuilt) are still in use), but also some non-electrified branch lines.
A description of this locomotive (in German language) can be found here: [

The model is by LGB. It is no longer in production, but can be found on eBay etc..
