Quiet Zones in Petaluma

Be sure to catch the stories on the fight between SMART and Petaluma over
establishing a Quiet Zone in Petaluma, reported in today's IJ and PD.

Farhad way over-reached. He doesn't understand or believe in the Quiet Zone
infrastructure (quad gates and medians). It's safer than the loud horns.

SMART is now seeking vengeance on Petaluma on SMART's website.

Score 1 for Petaluma City Council and management who stood up to
Farhad's arrogance and heavy handed approach to anyone who questions
anything he says. Petaluma residents, soon to be followed by residents in
San Rafael and Novato living near the tracks are the beneficiaries.
