Because SMART is not aware of any safety outreach conducted by the City of Petaluma, SMART is urging motorists and pedestrians to use extreme caution in the Petaluma area. Be alert and aware at all times -- trains can quickly appear at any time during this testing period. Take extra caution at the following railroad crossings: D Street; E. Washington St.; Lakeville St; Payran Street; Southpoint Blvd.; N. McDowell Blvd.; and Corona Road. The horn will continue to be used at crossings at Caulfield Lane and at Riverbend.
