Even if all the cameras and other security measures managed to identify every single perp, it will mean absolutely nothing at all; as no DA in Alameda or Contra Costa counties (and others in cash starved California) will ever prosecute anybody for anything except the very worst crimes - if even then.

That is especially so if an illegal resident is picked up for some crime - they will just let 'em go to prevent the feds from getting at 'em. So many cities (Oakland Included) have declared themselves as sanctuaries. These city officials just can't seem to get it into their thick sculls that they are thus aiding and abetting criminals, and obstructing justice. Wasn't that what Nixon and Clinton were nearly impeached for.

When even public officials flaunt the law and get away with it; just who the he!! else do you think certainly will too. Yep - thugs and thieves and international gangsters. If presidents can be so charged for flaunting the law, then certainly such city officials should be rounded up and and also charged with obstruction of justice.

Bottom Line:
Places such as Oakland are reaping just what they sowed; and will continue to do so - it getting ever worse - until they cease and desist such idiocy and fly right.



Oh, and btw, if you don't like current laws; the proper way to deal with that is to change the law by the workings of representative democracy - not by flaunting it. Beside, flaunting the law also strongly implies that one does not really believe in democracy.
