Hi Everybody-- I love seeing the ATSF 3751 run down the middle of the I-10 freeway. But I wish the engineer would blow the whistle just a few times to "show off" to the freeway travelers.
If 'Glen Icanberry' doesn't mind (because he knows who I am) I wanted to share some historic information ......
Everybody knows about the old East Bay Model Engineers Society that was in Emeryville for some 44-years, located in an old Santa Fe warehouse on Halleck Street. I have spoken on this Club before on here as well as on T.O.
Item # 1...One of the expert O-gauge modelers as well as the O-gauge Trainmaster for years was "Paul Icanberry". He had a giant O-gauge Trolley layout at his home in Alameda on Park Avenue as well. Eastshore Lines-- United Railways.
Item # 2... "Mark Icanberry" operated and owned a Transmission Shop in Oakland on San Pablo Avenue.
Conclusion: "Mark" was Paul's brother. YES, they were "Glen Icanberry's" UNCLES.
How 'bout that ??
