the correct term for the espee bridges, is, pin connected truss bridge, rather than waste valuable
space, google "pin connected truss
bridge, look for the bridgehunter

the box girders that the track sits
on top of, find a copy of the 12/82
issue of mainline modeler, this is
the bridge that got wrecked, badically all the major components
are held together by threaded 6 inch
pins and threaded rings (nuts) hold
everything together (plus 100 years
of rust) the bridges in the canyon
were all built by american bridge
they used a modified design, which
consisted of the first two end panels supported by a lower chord
construted of laced beams, and the
center panels connected by drawbars
